To Report Dead Swans

If someone finds a dead swan they need to check if it is ringed:

If ringed then they should contact the telephone number displayed on the ring to report the swan.

If there is no ring, then it depends on where the dead bird was found as to who it should be reported to:
Local authority (environmental health/refuse collection) ;
or local authority's rights of way officer ;
The Highways Authority ;
The landowner ;
DEFRA (if in an area with livestock).
